It's sad, but true.

I'm not sure whatever happened to the tiny little country and its towns. The caring, giving people who actually didn't have much in wealth back then, but gave much. Whatever happened to my warm and simple neighbours, their genuine smiles -- their big warm cars, the long rides in to the desert or just being in their company listening to the call for prayer.

Kyle, I wish you, and most newer folks had the chance to experience a (well kept) secret little town, my brothers, friends and I were raised. Despite the short comings, it was wonderful.

oh no - i didn't mean for you to think i'm thinking you're co-relating.

its just that no matter what happens world around, it doesn't make any problems in my personal life at any given time feel any less. people say 'it could be worse - you could have no house'. but i'm like 'that doesn't make the fact that my cell phone got stolen any less painful' btw, my cellphone didn't get stolen but i'm just giving an example.

I think your comment best describes the predicament we faced the other day:

Drove from our home to the J W Marriott in Deira and then discovered 'No Service' in the iPhone. We had to swap the SIM into my BB Storm, make a call home and then insert it back into the 3G, toggle flight mode a few times before the signal bars were up & running.

But if you attribute the glitch to the service provider, why does this occur only with the 3G and not with other phones including BB's Storm?

Totally a mystery to me!

i think its the service provider and not the phone. it won't work to its full capacity if it can't receive the signal.

But you have to try. You have to try harder & immunize yourself from such elements. At the end of the day, consider it a test of your self-confidence and I think you have it but just don't know about it.

I've dealt with a lot of nasties and there was definitely this feeling of shame and helplessness, as well as isolation and a loss of trust to the point of paranoia.

No matter what is done, there will always be cowards like them out there who think it is ok to belittle someone to make them feel better. And not just in school, but every aspect in life. Like people with the 'if you don't like it, you can leave' types.

Nuclear energy sells. It's also a quickie approach to big bucks. But, almost no one has an inkling of its repercussions, be it minor or major league or for that matter short or long term!
