May Day

Posted by Kyle on 5/01/2008 08:02:00 AM

It's strange that May Day or Labor Day is a normal working day here in the Emirates.

Ah well, this is not a democracy, they're not a member of ILO (maybe just for a namesake), nor do these people give a damn about labor issues.

So, that is why, Labor Day is a normal day here in the Emirates.

Whoever is lucky enough - Happy Labor Day to you guys.

Kyle - May 1st is not a holiday in the United States either? That said - am sure you have more public holidays in the UAE than in the US or most places.

Yes, 1 of May is a Labor day in many other countries

Hello kyle - I disagree with the sentiment of your post.

Rosh: Maybe not where you work ;)

Editor: Thanks for stopping by :)

i*maginate: I'm glad we disagree on something, as I wouldn't have it any other way.

UAE doesnt have that many holidays now that I think of it...but they couldnt resist a holiday when George Bush came...that was surprising...
